- Legal Compliance: Ensure your crawling activities comply with applicable laws
Website Owner Rights
- Respect website owners' wishes regarding crawling
- Stop crawling if requested by website owners
- Obtain permission before crawling third-party websites
5. Chrome Extension Usage
Extension Purpose
Our Chrome browser extension enables crawling of JavaScript-rendered websites and sites requiring authentication. It operates within your browser to render pages exactly as users see them.
Authenticated Site Crawling
- The extension can crawl sites where you have an active login session
- You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to crawl authenticated content
- The extension uses your existing browser cookies; it never stores or transmits your passwords
- Do not use the extension to access content you are not authorized to view
Anti-Bot Protection Handling
- Some websites display CAPTCHA challenges or Cloudflare protection screens
- The extension will pause and notify you when such challenges are detected
- You must manually solve these challenges in your browser
- We do not use any automated CAPTCHA solving services
- Repeatedly triggering anti-bot protection on third-party sites may result in your IP being blocked by those sites
Extension Removal
- You can uninstall the extension at any time through Chrome's extension management
- Uninstalling immediately stops all extension-based data collection
- Your existing crawl data on our servers remains accessible until you delete it
- You can revoke the extension's authentication token from your account dashboard
